Afripedia: Kenia, Zuid-Afrika & New York

Afripedia is een documentaireserie van het Zweedse Afro-collectief Stocktown. Elke aflevering richt zich op een groep jonge kunstenaars en creatives in een ander Afrikaans land. Eerder vertoonde LantarenVenster al de afleveringen Ghana, Senegal en Angola, en deze avond nemen we je mee naar de creatieve scenes van Kenia, Zuid-Afrika en New York. Maak kennis met de baanbrekende Afro-futuristische band Just a Band en verschillende opvallende visuele kunstenaars in Nairobi, de ontketende creativiteit op het gebied van muziek, gaming en fashion in Cape Town, Johannesburg en Soweto, en drie jonge creatives uit de Afrikaanse diaspora in New York die door middel van publishing, fotografie en hoelahoep de traditionele clichés van Afrika en Afrikanen van zich af schudden!
