To escape the hectic city life and her demanding job, thirty-something Natalia moves to a small village in the Spanish countryside. In a dilapidated house, with an awkward dog by her side, she hopes to build a new life. However, her aggressive landlord and distrustful villagers make the start difficult. Then she meets Andreas, an older neighbor and fellow outsider, who makes her an unexpected proposal. Their turbulent relationship quickly turns into an obsessive passion, forcing Natalia to see herself in a new light.
Un Amor is a psychological drama about a young woman and her search for love, both for herself and for others. Director Isabel Coixet based her film on the eponymous Spanish bestseller, a story that explores both the nurturing and destructive power of love. Un Amor has received multiple awards, including recognition for the powerful performances of lead actors Laia Costa (Victoria) and Hovik Keuchkerian (La Casa de Papel).
